February 12th – Life on a Nuclear Submarine
Speaker: Alec Elliot
Alec Elliot shares a fascinating insight into life beneath the waves aboard Royal Navy nuclear submarines. Joining the RN at just 17 years old, Alec spent his entire naval career serving on nuclear submarines, experiencing one of the most demanding and secretive environments in military life.
Today, Alec is also part of the team restoring a WWII Auster aircraft in the HGC hangar, bringing his passion for engineering and history full circle. A talk that combines personal experience, naval history, and technical insight.
