Opportunities to work at your local airfield

Are you passionate about aviation and interested in working as a volunteer at Shobdon Airfield?

We have opportunities for people with interest and enthusiasm to join the small, friendly and committed staff team at the airfield, to work in various different roles.  Any amount of time you could offer would be gratefully considered.

We are looking for people to carry out any tasks the have experience in or would be happy to help out with. For example, welcoming people in reception; assisting with office duties; training up as part of the refuelling team; tidying up the grounds or working in the Air traffic Services Unit (ATSU), which provides safety-critical information to pilots over the radio.

Obviously, certain roles would need to be carried out by qualified personnel, but if you have some time on your hands and would like to help out in a fun environment, then we would love to hear from you.

Herefordshire Aero Club Ltd is based at Shobdon Airfield (EGBS), in rural Herefordshire near Leominster on the English / Welsh border. The airfield is a long-established, busy and developing GA airfield, with HAC responsible for airfield management and fixed-wing training, and other stakeholders on the airfield providing helicopter, microlight, gliding and gyrocopter instruction.

Please get in contact by emailing airfieldops@shobdonairfield.co.uk for more information about becoming a volunteer.
